Global Events Managers is a women owned small business located in Raleigh, North Carolina. We have a combined experience of 40 years accomplishing clients’ meeting objectives with creative flair and precision. Our scope ranges from concept development through all stages of planning and production. We are Certified Meeting Professionals and bring this to your attention, as it sets us apart from many of our competitors. A meeting planner’s CMP designation illustrates our commitment to continuing education and industry involvement. It demonstrates our professional experience and the successful completion of rigorous testing. We believe that the discipline and knowledge required to achieve CMP certification allows us to exceed the expectations of our clients.

With decades of experience in event production, fundraising, media and entertainment; we produce events, consult and offer seminars for non-profits, businesses and individuals. We plan meetings on every continent. Our focus is pharmaceutical meetings, corporate meetings, professional sporting events and incentives globally. As a professional, skilled and loyal team, our keen attention to detail and creativity provides personalized service and hands-on assistance every step of the way.

Kim Howard CMP (Certified Meeting Professional)

Kim has over 25 years’ extensive experience in the field of meeting planning and production. After graduating in Hotel Management and Hospitality from Basingstoke Technical College in the UK, Kim was employed by the IBM Corporation in three different countries, including the United Kingdom, France and the United States. In her career, she has focused on planning global meetings and trade shows involving agenda and program content, event management logistics and production management. Noted events with 1000+ attendees are Comdex, CES, IBM Golden Circle Conferences and the annual IBM National Sales Meetings. Kim recently planned a series of 32 global meetings for Eli Lilly over the course of three years that involved 22 countries and 2000 physicians and study coordinators participating in a new a clinical trial. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 2005.

Allison Smith CMP (Certified Meeting Professional)

Allison has worked as a meeting planner for the past twelve years and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Her prior experience was as a corporate travel consultant for American Airlines and American Express travel serving the IBM account. Allison has orchestrated multiple domestic and international conferences for many clients. She has provided conference management services for corporate clients, including budget management, strategic and creative direction, exhibit hall management, sponsorship management, web development oversight, vendor management, on site implementation and execution and final reporting. During the course of her career, Allison has also helped develop strategies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity. Allison possesses the Certified Meeting Professional designation and is a graduate of the Wilma Boyd Travel and Business School of Pittsburgh, PA. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 2008.
